About Big Daddy Outfitters
Established in 2006, Big Daddy Outfitters (BDO) is a family organization dedicated to the
enjoyment and preservation of the great outdoors. We have been practicing management hunting for over 20 years.
We have been managing food plots on our lands for almost 10 years. There have been two bucks harvested on our
properties that have scored over 150 on the B&C, as well as dozens of 130 class bucks.
Brad Copeland, owner and operator of BDO, has been a hunter since 1985. He took his first
deer (a six-point buck) when he was 9 years old. He also enjoys fishing, golf and working outside. Brad also has
won a
stock car race or two. He has
been happily married since 1998 to his lovely wife, Bonnie, who also enjoys fishing and hunting (a lucky man).
Bonnie has also harvested a 130 B&C 10-point buck on our lands.
We hope to provide to you an enjoyable hunting experience and leave you with a memory for a
lifetime.
Why "Big Daddy"?
We took our name from one of our late grandfathers. George "Big Daddy" Copeland
was a farmer and an avid outdoorsman. He taught us to enjoy as well as respect nature.
In 2009, at age 85, he harvested two does and a six-point buck. He was with us for 89 years and we cherish every
memory.
Our other grandfather, the late AJ "Skeeterman" Mizelle lived to be 87 years
young and enjoyed fly-fishing on the Roanoke River for bream, perch, catfish and rock (striped bass).
